Morgex is located at 28km from Aosta and 9km from Courmayeur, near the Mont Blanc tunnel and, thanks to the road network is easily reached from France and Switzerland.
The small village of Morgex lies in the heart of Valdigne in the Aosta Valley at an altitude of 920m, surrounded by forests, meadows, vineyards and crossed by the Dora Baltea river. From Morgex you can see the "Dente del Gigante" (Giant's Tooth) at 3,816m, the Grand Jorasses, at 4,20m and of course the Mont Blanc at 4,810m.
The Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta is worth a visit: the church has a baroque altar and frescoes dating back to the XV and XVI centuries.
Discover the Castello Pascal de la Ruine, the Tour de l'Archet, and the Casaforte Bozel.
Morgex has its own railway station from where you can explore the Aosta Valley.
Take the opportunity to taste some of the delicacies of the Aosta Valley, the meat, typical cheeses and the magnificent sparkling wine "Blanc de Morgex e La Salle." A wine made from grapes grown in upper Valdigne, between 900m and 1,200m of altitude.
Licony Lake is definately worth a visit - a beautiful and magical place!
